The choir also provides a large musical contribution to all the major services at Christmas, Easter and other festivals. The choir sings choral evensong about once a month and also at weddings. Music is generally in the post-Stanford tradition, but the diet is highly varied, interesting and enriching, with a large amount of Renaissance and high-quality modern choral music included.
‘I’ve been a tenor member of the choir since 1979, when I joined as a student whilst studying at Kingston University’ – Adrian Munt, long standing choir member.
The choir recently sang Choral evensong at Southwark cathedral. Please read about this visit in the following article. Southwark Cathedral SASM choir 2017 Choir sing at Southwark Cathedral 2017
