Sunbeams

Sunbeams-stay and play toddler group is held at St Mark’s church hall from 10.00 am to 11.15 am, most Wednesday’s in school term time. Our group is run by volunteers from our church congregation and a warm welcome is extended to all parents, grandparents and carers and their children from 0 to 5 years old.

We aim to provide a safe and friendly environment where children and adults can have a happy time. We kindly ask for parent/carers not to take any photos during our sessions. We hope that everyone will be able to make friends and feel supported.  There are a variety of toys to play with , and a designated carpet area for babies with suitable toys for them. Each week there is a different craft activity for the older children to do. During this time from 10-11am, tea, coffee and biscuits are served. At 11am  everyone helps tidy away after which is a 10 minute singing session. We always finish with our ‘goodbye Sunbeams’ song!

You are welcome to come to a ”taster” session at any time when we will take your details. Due to the popularity of the group we regret that a place may not be available immediately.  In this case do enquire again at the beginning of the following term.

A big thank you to all our lovely volunteers and ladies running the Sunbeams group and everyone who joined us this term. We are taking a break for the Christmas holidays.

Looking forward to be back after the festive season on Wednesday 8th January 2025.

Before regularly attending a Sunbeams session you need to be on our Sunbeams register. Please come along for a ‘taster’ session to see what we are like and if you like us  you can register to attend regularly. For more information contact the parish office at surbitonchurchoffice@gmail.com

Additional to our playgroup we have a  family service which is child friendly for younger children and their families. This starts at 9.15am at St Mark’s church on the second and forth Sunday of each month.
