St Andrew and St Mark’s Choir

The Parish has a well-established choral tradition, and new members to the choir are always welcome. The choir rehearses every week on Friday evening (7.30 pm) and sings at the Sunday morning Eucharist.

StA & StM 345The choir also provides a large musical contribution to all the major services at Christmas, Easter and other festivals. The choir sings choral evensong about once a month and also at weddings. The music is rooted in the greatest traditions of church music, from Tudor times onwards, but with some modern twists from time to time, and the choir are always learning new pieces, sometimes prompted by the Director of Music, sometimes in response to a request for a couple who will be married.

We also have a children’s choir who sing at our All Age Eucharist services at St Mark’s. They rehearse on Friday afternoons at 4:30pm.
