Children’s Advent

Children’s Advent

Come along this Sunday to St Mark’s Church at 9:15 am when the first stories will be told and the first decorations put on our Jesse tree.

What is a Jesse Tree?   Jesse trees are a very old Christmas tradition and first started in medieval times. They are used to help tell the story of the Bible from creation to coming of Jesus. The name comes from Jesse who was the father of the great Jewish King David.

We will be assembling and decorating our Jesse Tree over the four Sundays in Advent:

2nd December 9.15am at St Mark’s

9th, 16th and 23rd December 11.00am at St Andrew’s.

Come and join us!
