The Parish of St Andrew & St Mark, Surbiton
Our Churches: The Organs

St. Andrew's Church Organ

Organ

The Organ was originally built by Bishop in 1881 for Holy Trinity, Stroud Green in North London.

The three manual and pedal organ was rebuilt in 1927 by Hunter and was transferred to St. Andrew’s in 1959-60.

While the church was undergoing refurbishment in 2010, Shepherds Brothers modernised the console installing new stop knobs, solid state action and sequencer and moved the balanced pedals to swell and choir from the right hand side of the pedal board to the centre.

Despite some minor tonal changes the organ remains essentially as Hunter’s rebuilt it in 1927.
